Heather

Heather Wixom Sweeney

Heather’s expertise in adult learning, building sustainable systems for collaboration and proactive practices to build collective efficacy will be the focus of the 7-Stages of PLC framework pathway, August 3, 4 and 5. Heather will provide insight into the technical protocols and procedures as well as the adaptive agreements and collaborative behaviors that advance teams towards collective efficacy. During the Behavioral Continuum pathway, Heather will bring her expertise as an instructor of effective intervention design and special education practice to breakouts and action plan supports.

Christoper L Daikos

Christopher brings a unique perspective to our practices for collaboration and behavior by unpacking our social, political, technological, and economic climate to better understand current issues faced by students and educators. Christopher’s expertise in psychology and current behavioral phenomena inform his practice on how to provide a continuum of behavioral support for students with evidence-based practice.  Christopher will provide insight and technical expertise to teams learning about data use during Tuesday’s pathway on stages 4 & 5 of PLCs.

Courtney Vollan Daikos

Courtney’s work to support school districts' MTSS implementation will inform her instruction throughout the conference. Courtney’s expertise in instructional design and intervention implementation will be exemplified in her sessions and facilitation. She will support teams in unpacking standards to ensure Learning Targets and Success Criteria are aligned on Tuesday, and provide expertise in matching evidence-based behavior interventions to student needs on Thursday, as well as facilitate action planning and discussion throughout the conference.

Tovah’s experiences implementing effective behavior interventions in schools across the nation are informed by her approach to balance compliance with innovation. She helps educators align policy, data, and human-centered design to create environments where every learner can thrive. Dr. Shotland will provide flexible and effective practice implications in her sessions on tiers 1 and 2 fidelity on Thursday. 

Brianne Rokey

Brianne's experience serving K-12 students in schools and work as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor have informed her perspective when supporting school leadership to implement individualized evidence-based interventions in an MTSS framework. Brianne will provide sessions on Friday regarding tier 3 behavioral health supports prior to IEP identification in the context of aligned community based serviceShe will provide intervention teams with practical and informed strategies for serving students with complex needs.

Dr. Kristin Rodriguez

Kristan Rodriguez, Ph.D., is an internationally recognized leader in Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and inclusive practice, and the creator of the MTSS² Framework™, a model that advances traditional MTSS into proactive, data-driven systems of support. Her work focuses on aligning Universal Design for Learning (UDL), high-quality core instruction, and tiered academic and behavioral supports to improve outcomes for all learners. She has played a key role in state-level MTSS implementation, contributing to widely used tools, guidance, and professional learning that support equitable and legally sound practices. As founder and CEO of Commonwealth Consulting Agency (CCA), Dr. Rodriguez partners with state agencies and school systems to strengthen collaborative practices, data-based decision-making, and coordinated intervention systems. She is the best-selling author of In Support of Student Data: A Data Workbook for MTSS Teams (Wiley, 2025), focused on MTSS protocols and team-based data use. A sought-after keynote speaker, she has presented for national organizations including NASSP and NCTM, with her work featured in media outlets such as WMC-TV Action News 5, DisrupTV, and leading education podcasts including Leading EquityShifting Schools, and the NAESP Principal Podcast.
