We are excited to announce the launch of the Trauma-Informed Educator Institute. We just kicked off our first TEI session with educators and teacher leaders. The TEI is designed to support educators in developing skills in trauma-informed strategies, coaching and leadership. With two distinct cohorts, the TEI aims to provide school communities with a well-rounded team comprised of both leaders in trauma-informed strategies and knowledgeable coaches steeped in implementation science.
If you are interested in future sessions, please fill out the form below to receive updates on registration details for the next TEI session.
What is the difference between the two cohorts?
Strategy-Focused Cohort:
– Deepen your knowledge of trauma-informed principles and strategies to strengthen the delivery of student supports in an MTSS framework
– Expand your understanding around the impact of trauma on development, learning, and behavior, and how specific strategies effectively address those impacts
– Build a robust toolbox of strategies and frameworks to support the varying social-emotional and behavioral needs across their buildings/sites, as well as how to select the appropriate strategies to meet the universal and individual needs of students
Coaching & Collaborative Practices-Focused Cohort:
– Learn the basics of Adult Learning Principles and Implementation Science to support colleagues to learn and implement trauma-informed strategies with fidelity
– Enhance your leadership skills in collaboration, coaching, consultation, and the facilitation of professional development
– If you are looking to deepen your capacity to support collegial growth, this cohort is for you
Ideally, participants from the same location or role will partner with a colleague enrolled in the other cohort to complement each other’s learning and collaborate in the application of supports at their respective work sites. Some schools may be eligible for clock hours and/or CE credits.
